Ignis Sport Front L.S.D. debut!

On March 18th, 2004 Suzuki Sport Co., Ltd. has introduced Ignis Sport Front LSD (limited slip differential).

For the front wheel drive vehicle, front LSD will give high performance. It will surely transmit the engine power to the wheels in any situation. The system is simple, yet reliable mechanical multi plate type with ramp angle of forward 45 degrees and back 25 degrees. To give different angle by forward and back, when the power is off, it will give low lock percentage in order to achieve a smooth turn, and yet when the power is on, it will lock up to give superb traction. This ramp angle is determined to have smooth reaction between power on and off so that driver can make smooth yet fast driving. This LSD has been approved by Suzuki One Make Race Series and it has given a great performance for the competitors.

While cornering, all the torque will go to inside wheel which is loosing weight and at the same time no torque will transmit to outside wheel which is gripping.
It will make the car unstable and not move forward.		 - The torque will transmit to outside wheel which will make the car stable and move the car forward.

[Multi Plate Clutch System]
It has durability and good control on locking. It is also easy to change the initial torque by changing the thickness of the plates, and moreover, it can easily be overhauled by replacing the plates.
[The Ramp angle]

[Caution]
-When LSD is installed, the car's reaction will be different from the normal car especially on corners. Please get used to the behavior of how the car will react.
-In order to fit LSD, during low speed corners it may give chattering noise but this is due to the mechanism.
